Early web memories.
I got onto the web in the late 2000s, mainly for pirating movies, songs and games.
We had an MTS dongle, which would get 2 hours of unlimited (probably just 2-3gb) of internet and me and my siblings would just go to songs.pk or djpunjab.pk and download every new album just for the sake of having them for the next week, and going through them to select our new favourites(That HDD still exists btw!).
I also discovered FRIV in the same time and it became a routine for a few months where i would fight with everyone to let me play Papa's pizzeria (PEAK!) and other flash styles games.
I also remember trying to pirate movies via sketchy websites with no adblock or vpn. I HAVE BEEN SCARRED EARLY ON BY THE INTERNET. on 3G speed would take 7-8 hours i.e overnight for single movie to download and it would end up using the qouta for the month sometimes. and the movie still wouldn't download sometimes.
There are a few scattered memories of some chatrooms and random browsing which i can't point to a particular website. but I remember reading some weird shit like how to use tor and access the "dark web" even before I had any knowledge about using browser extensions or other basic shit.
and then i deleted my windows install and took it to a PC repair guy and then all of my game time was cut off and i was digitally grounded for a few months lol.
